Holy crap, there is some fantastic audio engineering knowledge in this video beyond "tweak this parameter to this value". Thank you for this gift. I love this hobby so much.

Thanks, this was super informative. The part of your process of EQing out some of the harmonics on your snare was really eye opening. Awesome way of cleaning up such an important part of the mix.

Also - bass drum on mono. Hell yeah, man. I watch a lot of online tutorials for this sort of thing and neat, clean, one-sentence advice that makes that big a difference is rare. You deserve more subs.

great tutorial man. love it. personally i really struggle to use this technique with faster italo-disco-stuff, when u use the kick and snare at the same time, like 4/4: Kick, Kick/Snare, Kick, Kick/Snare. Its very hard to controll the Kicks Gate then. Maybe ud like to make a small 4 min video with a loop u can show ;) greets from germany mate

So how do you split up the separate linndrum tracks in Ableton Live? I can only record one track for all the LD core kit.

Hi thank you for this tutorial. i watched it all :) the only thing is ive downloaded the ableton racks etc and in ableton 10.0.1 it says "the preset cannot be loaded, its broken etc". Is this maybe because i have an earlier version of ableton? im not sure, but thanks anyway :)

Hey thanks a lot for this tutorial. I'm using the Valhalla Vintage Verb instead of the Ableton stock reverb. At the last step where you are cutting the low end frequencies below 700Hz, do I just do the same within the Vintage verb interface for the bass and the snare? When I do that it seems to cut a significant amount of the low end from my bass drum. Also, what's the song clip that you kept playing? It sounds groovy Hahaha Much appreciated
@FailMachine4 жыл бұрын
Vintage Verb is my favorite and my normal go-to for this stuff. I use the EQ section in Vintage Verb. If that's effecting your dry sound, you did something wrong. Make sure you have a dry path of the untouched sound and on the vintage verb send you have the wet at 100%... For the clip I keep playing, its Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls.

Hey thank you very much for this, but I'm a beginner and even tho I'm following your tutorial I'm having some problems with the reverb, I think the problem is within the gate and that Pre Fx. My snare sounds wet as the ocean

Graate Job Thx for this tut. Hi all. I have question about copyright of the bought loop packs, sound banks etc. Can I use them for commercial purposes? How the law look like in the 🇬🇧.l? Thanks for info
@AutPen382 жыл бұрын
You can check the small print with the sample pack, but the most common licensig set-up is that you can use the samples in songs for commercial release and you don't have to pay royalties, but you cannot re-bundle the samples and sell them as part of a commercial sample pack.

why for god sake you didnt use abbey road eq trick before reverb ? ... :D it's time saver :)
@FailMachine4 жыл бұрын
You have a link on how to do the abbey road trick?
@@Alavux finally got around to watching that video.. the ableton stock reverb has the filters already onboard. and I am cutting the high by default. At 24:55 I was going to add the low cut filter which would effectively accomplish the same thing as the Abbey Road trick... at 25:00 I realize I don't need to add any additional plugins and I just used the onboard low filter as well. Also, the stock reverb plugin places the filtering before the reverb effect. Therefore.. I did do the abbey road reverb trick because the ableton reverb is filtering lows and highs off. ;)

Hi there, I think it's disingenuous of you to take people's email, then require a social media account to download the sample pack, especially without telling them. I don't have social media, and now you can send me marketing info without me getting my payment for that.....not cool.
