Thanks. Yes it was a real challenge. It would have been easier with a hacksaw and file, but that would have spoiled the challenge! Yesterday I took the model stamper battery to the gold mine where they have a full-sized working, 3 stories high stamper with hammers that weigh half a ton, and two stationary steam engines. Kids love to crank the handle of the model and watch the hammers. They even put rocks in it and crush them to powder making quite a noise. So it is really popular with kids and adults alike.
