Spike can come any time, and doesn't give chance to adjust straddle usually. Even straddle price has collapsed after 9.30 then also spike at 11 can incur you losses and this is exactly what happens on daily basis.

Vishal ji, significant straddle decay happens in the first half an hour. So, my suggestion is to take short straddle entry at the open with supertrend as SL. There would be approx 35% days the SL will hit. But overall, it would be more profitable than waiting for the entry. Please check. Your observation of higher volatility if straddle isn't decaying is perfectly valid and works as a precursor to injection.

Chart is of Atm straddle , but your sold straddle will not remain atm after sometime . Atm straddle premium will decrease but your sold straddle premium will not decrease .

You have to use rolling straddle strategy. Exit the existing straddle and sell new straddle.
