How to program a Dynamite Tazer brushless ESC.

In this Instructional Video I walk through the steps for programming this ESC, hopefully clearing up all the confusion on the controller. Its a good ESC with bad instructions. This video is a little long, but there is a lot to this ESC.

This is the simplest explanation for the speed control!!! I pulled my hair out. The instructions didn't explain you had a set button right next to the on/off switch. Thank you so much DrivenRC10 !!!!!!!

Thank you for your video. I just purchased a brand new tazer combo kit. Came with the 4000kv brushless tazor motor and 45 Amp esc. The instructions were alot more understandable after seeing your video. Great video.

This was very helpful! Our instructions didn't say there'd be a red light, but just that the light would blink. Well it wasn't clear that we were successfully entering the mode 3 (low voltage cutoff) menu b/c of the blinks. Seeing you walk through it reflected exactly what ours was doing and we were able to turn off LVCO for running a NiMh battery. FYI, this is a stock Torment that we just retrofitted with the Kinexis 4000kV brushless kit...

Thanks alot for the tutorial, my brushless 4x4 Ruckus manual have no info about how to program the ESC, and to be honest I didn't even knew I could do that (since I'm completly new to the hobby), but I have my Ruckus now fully set to my preferences 😉, and another thing I did was going to ECX website and downloaded the online manual that you have (ver. Ecx3009 pdf). Hope that helps someone.

Here is my issue, When I throw in my Li-Po battery and turn it on the light blinks red once then starts blinking green. I am not able to get into the menus while the li-po is connected. If I throw the NiMH battery in I can get to the menus but when I set it to the LVC for Li-Po. Then I shut it off and swap out the NiMH for the Li-Po it does the same thing again... One red blink then steady green blinks. Any idea what the issue might be? I verified throttle points were good and the throttle trim is dead center.

I did all the steps you said to. And throttle works with toward/reverse until i release trigger.then red light comes on and stays on with no fwd/rvrse

thanks for this video. The manual for the Losi eight rtr is wrong. It tells you to put your Transmitter in full reverse then turn your transmitter on, THEN it tells you to continue holding full throttle... lolwut.

Hi, do you know the name type & size connector on the fan? I have a 45a Dynamite Tazer ESC, I ordered the fan that was recommended for it but it has the wrong connector on it, I'm looking for a pigtail connector to swap, but don't know the name & size of the connector.

Is 3.0V/cell too low? I've seen many battery manufacturers recommend 3.4-3.5V/cell. Can this ESC be programmed to that cutoff voltage?

Yes I believe it will go to 3.4v/cell.

Hey every one i have a ? So i have a 3000kv kinexsis brushless combo my battery is a 7.4v 25c 5000mah 2slipo . so every time i wana go drive my rc ill turn every thing on and with in less then 5min my rc goes from going fast to slowing down or some times it just stops . then after a few sec it acts like its ok and then it does it all over againe any one have any answers to my ? +Ugly Musa That sounds like it might be the "neutral" was set to forward throttle on accident.. Does the speed of the tires change if you push the trigger to reverse? also does it speed up if you pull full throttle?

Devan Thomas cuts all cells in battery to 3.5 so it wont completly deplete the battery when you are driving it only matters for lipo.

+cody coulter Are yous till using the stock radio? Make sure the throttle trim dial is set in the center. If that is too far off from center the ESC's usually won't arm and they just blink.
