I just bought it ...to use @ 2s on 1/10 touring cars like V100 Vaterra, TT01 Tamiya, Sparrowhawk VX Thundertigher... all about 3300 to 4000 KV sensored motors.... Thanks for the instructions....

I have this optical similar 120a with Hobbyking rebranding but has no set button. But I think I need to change the timing. Der motor gets hot without load when it runs for 1 minute

Well at least you were able to program it and I assume drive the car around. Having to wait is lame.... Lol. But once you have the programming card, you'll never want to go back to this method. the programming cards make it so much easier.

Thanks Kevin. I am trying to get a TSKY 35A working. It appears to work differently to your 120 unit. The unit does not beep and the instructions provided in your link dont seem to work with this unit. The red/green leds behave differently. Have spent ages trying to get the throttle calibrated. Any ideas please? Thanks alot

Do you have the link for the chart? I just got this esc, will be installing it soon. The description says it has turbo timing, but I didn't see that listed in the chart on your phone. Did the esc seem to have more parameters then the chart?

Did you download the file that I linked in the description? That has what each beep means. As for turbo timing, I didn't see anything about that but there is a timing option that can be increased or decreased. I assume that's the same thing.

Do you find when you have the battery connected the esc gets hot even when it is turned off?

No. The ESC shouldn't get hot if it's off. If it does, there's probably an issue with it. It should only get warm with in use. Even being on and idle it should still stay cool to the touch. If you got it recently, I'd consider sending it back and getting a replacement.

How long did it last I bought my son one waited 2 weeks to get it and it didn't even make it thru a single 2's battery. Never got even warm. Running a 4200kv motor

Yeah other people online mentioned you could use the programming card. It's just extra money. Lol. But if you change settings often, it may be worth the investment.

I just installed one of these. Fyi it does not like 3s. It has stopped powering the transmitter. Fan still runs tho so I'm not sure what happened

Yeah I wouldn't recommend 3s unless you have it in a low load application. Putting it in something like a slash would likely burn it up quickly. I'd only recommend this ESC if you only plan on running 2S.

Swap 2 of the motor wires on the ESC or program the controller to flip forward and reverse.

No actually. I wouldn't expect amazing quality though. Like if your motor is rated too high, you COULD burn it up. I would just suggest to only use it in 1/10th scale cars and don't gear it too high. As long as you aren't too hard on it, it should be fine. I was already giving thing thing hell in this Rustler and it took it just fine. Honestly if I needed another ESC, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one, especially with the price.

The same way you'd connect a sensorless motor, you just also have the sensor cable plugged in.

No. It's only designed for 3s and to be honest, I'd only recommend 2s. You could probably do 3s on a low kv motor but personally I wouldn't.

It's rated for 3s (11.1v) but I don't recommend 3s at all. Only run 2s (7.4v) if you want it to last.

Sounds like you need to recalibrate your throttle limits.

This ESC is like sub $20... What did you expect? It works great for low powered vehicles on 2s, that's about it. I wouldn't recommend for 3s or things like 4x4's with high gear ratios. What I WOULD recommend it for is something like a 2wd rustler or slash on 2s. You could do a 4x4 but you'd want a decently low gear ratio.

There is an option to turn reverse off if you look through the options. Make sure you select the one with break AND reverse.

@@Kmcornell23 Thank you and i did make sure it was on the second setting for forward and reverse w/ break and still no reverse. :( Just got in the hobby and i am not having fun....this sucks. I have two cars now and both are broke after just a few runs and NO crashes. 750$ in and i just don't know what to do.
