Thank you very much! Videos on pronunciation are very rare and therefore much appreciated! I didn't quite get the "kinenski" example. It would've helped if you would compare the wrong and right pronunciation just like in the last examples. Another user already asked for it, and I am interested in it as well: the different pronunciations of "n" depending on the position. Before g and k or at the end like in san or chan
@SeizeJapanese4 жыл бұрын
Different んs are like different “T ”s in American English. I mean it's not so important, I think. Even if we don't know how to pronounce"flap T" or "dark T ", we can pronounce "T" in English. Before g or k, んsounds like "ng" . But if you are a beginner, I don't recommend trying it. Because it's easily to slip to English. and it's really hard for native Japanese speakers to listen English. If you are a beginner, please practice to pronounce "each hiragana with the same length of time" Then you will get easily to understand the difference betweenきねんせきand きんえんせき Anyway I might make a video about pronunciation of ん part 2, after " verb pitch accent "series of videos are done. Sorry it might be on next year 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅Gomenne.

It's kind of like "American English T ". Someone says "American English has 5Ts. But not every native speakers distinguish 5Ts correctly. When we learn just 1T, we can gradually learn how to pronounce other Ts. And in my opinion, we don't need to learn "flap T"or "dark T"at first. How to pronounce ん is the same. Actually, native Japanese speakers don't care about the ん's difference. I don't use m for ん。 Someone distinguish んs,someone not.
@SeizeJapanese3 жыл бұрын
And if you are not advanced student, I don't recommend learning other んs. I don't think It's efficient.

@SeizeJapanese5 жыл бұрын
"irassyai mase" is a fixed phrase from workers to customers. You can hear tons of "irassyai mase " when you come to Japan. "Youkoso " is an old phrase,people don't use it nowadays. We say " yoku kitane " or just " irassyai" to our guests . BTW " youkoso " is an old reading way of " yokukita". I recommend using "Hinative" to ask that. Many excellent native speakers will give you response.

When I try to pronounce ん by cutting air with my throat, I sound like a duck. I need help pronouncing the ん by itself, let alone with vowels and consonants. I sound like a choking duck when I pronounce ん.
@SeizeJapanese4 жыл бұрын
I just recommend putting ん thing aside. Quality of consonants is not so important for learning Japanese. " Pronuncing each Hiragana with the same length of time " is the most important. Then Pitch Accent. If you understand them,you can gradually understand how to pronunce ん, I think.
@موسى_74 жыл бұрын
@@SeizeJapanese Too late. I can pronounce it now. Doing a silly Japanese accent in other languages really seems to help me, the one without vocabulary. Sorry for wasting your time. Sometimes I am speaking normally and I pronounce an English or Arabic word with ん by accident. I should really take my studies more seriously.

@@SeizeJapanese After learning カタカナ and a few words (can't use my method of using English and Arabic words to practise pitch accent) , I think I will go on to pitch accent. I must practise that pitch stuff very hard once I reach it! I'm not used to distinguishing pitch in music let alone language, so this'll be a challenge; especially for a kid who's voice is changing, especially one who copies cartoon voices more than he speaks in his own proper voice (after going to Iraq, I can't remember how I sound like in English). Really, once I learn カタカナ I will just blindly follow the Human Japanese app I just installed.
