@morielrorschach8090
@morielrorschach8090 5 жыл бұрын
Her explanation in the other video makes it easy: Make an "L" sound. Keep your tongue still, and instead of saying "L" just blow (not like you're mad). Another way to get close (but not quite right) is the german "CH" sound as in "ich" ... it's not about making a loogy... it's more like hissing like a cat. But not a "mad" cat... that's too much. Just a mildly annoyed "get away from food, nub" retort kind of hiss. The welch "LL" is just the german "ch" but a little "L"ier.

Dean Benedict not exactly. The ll sound is different from sh and if you were to pronounce the ll like a sh you’d probably get some stares. Beyond that, we don’t have the letter q in Welsh. It’s the ch of Bach or Loch.

@@mastery7901 Polish grammar is a bit difficult, and mastering some sounds may take time and effort, but at least it's a phonetic language, Polish letters are always pronounced the same way, there are some rules and some exceptions, of course, like in any language but it's not that hard. Believe me, learning English may be as hard, I know that from experience. English pronunciation and spelling are so inconsistent it's absurd! Gwyneth. I was just over to the UK last month and traveled thru Llanfair P.G. It's been 5 months since you posted this so you probably won't be noticing my response. But here goes - Is Cathryn Angharad, professor of Welsh at Bangor Uni, your mother??

Imo how I would say it: (first you have to learn how to do that weird welsh LL, it’s vital and like a sh) Llan-Vire-Pull-gwin-gill-go-gare (like “care” but with a g instead of a c)-uch (ch = the guttural h that is said in the word “lo**ch**)-win-drob-ull-llan-ti-silio-go-go-goch Without all the notes: Llan-vire-pull-gwin-gill-go-gare-uch-win-drob-ull-llan-ti-silio-go-go-goch
