This information is NOT TRUE. Totally FALSE. There is no mechanism available in this world to identify whether it is Male OR Female until they get the flower (which may take 5 - 7 year of time) The reason being, many countries have started producing the date saplings using "Dates Tissue Culture" which is the most Complex, Expensive and Time taking procedure(1.5 years)

I have many date seeds that have germinated, I put them in soil. But none of them have the green shoots emerging out of the soilt. Any what I might be doing wrong? Not patient enough? It's been at least a month since I put them in the soil.

It's might many causes like fungus, over watering, humidity etc...

It may be a viral or fungal attack. Apply any pesticide which controls the disease immediately.

I germinated a bunch of seeds from a pygmy date palm I have outside of my house and now have like 200 seedlings growing. Palms are super easy to grow but take forever to get large. Thus the reason a large palm costs so much. No one is going to spend 20-30 years growing something and get rid of it for cheap.
