I find it hilarious that you say you “mastered” caulking but you only show the easy part. You don’t show the most critical and hardest to do part. You have to properly and neatly tool the joint. You can’t just leave it half assed finished Or is that what you consider finished😂😂😂

@@cdb989 EVERY MAJOR QUALITY SEALANT MANUFACTURER SAYS TO TOOL THEIR SEALANT. Sika usa.sika.com/dam/dms/us01/q/sikaflex_-1a.pdf Page 3 “ tool sealant to ensure full contact with joint walls” GE assets-global.website-files.com/5dbc1154df87c0aaea47bac4/62f14a5da6fe81000b4b3919_SCS2000%20SilPruf%20(P).pdf Page 4 “ tool or strike the sealant with a concave tool applying light pressure “ Tremco www.tremcosealants.com/fileshare/ApplicationInstructions_Hyland/Silicone_Sealant_AI.pdf Page 6 “ tooling is always required” I can give many more examples of manufacturers saying to tool the sealant. All sealant has to be tooled to ensure proper adhesion. Ignoring proper tooling voids the warranty.The primary purpose is to insure proper bond. The secondary ( but important) purpose is aesthetics If a joint is not properly tooled ( no matter how well it was gunned) it will fail an adhesion test. I have done hundreds of these tests. We routinely shoot “ finished” beads, but they still have to be tooled. Anyone that says sealant doesn’t have to be tooled does not know what they are doing.

@@cdb989 wrong. Every major manufacturer requires sealant to be tooled. No matter how well it is shot. Without proper tooling,sealant will fail an adhesion test. If someone tells you sealant doesn’t need to be tooled find someone that knows what they are doing.

Sorry thought you were serious. You would not believe some of the claims I’ve heard about sealants. They really anger me because homeowners waste so much money on sealants due to so much misinformation on KZbin.
