Basically why you have a clear bra - Wash it the same as you would without a clear bra. If it gets fucked up, stonechips, scratches etc - It is a lot easier to replace it, and a lot cheaper than painting it

Larry, I've seen a few clear bra installations where the edges of the clear bra are inside of the panels as oppose to on the outer edge of the panel (as seen in this video). What's the benefit to the clear bra setup in the Singer 911? Would the exposed areas build "gunk" over time?

I'm actually surprised you didn't wrap the edges on this bra. When I do custom cuts they're always edges wrapped, obviously pre-cut kits are a little different. Awesome work though man keep it up ! Would love to come check out the shop, I live in NJ.

I really love washing my car. But not other peoples cars :) Even when I have a crappy car now I still enjoy the process. I even vaxed it a couple of weeks ago :) But I think I use too old wax, because it rained a lot after I had vaxed it.. and now my panels, and door handles are blue :D

Nice video... I recently bought an Interlagos Blue (deep metallic blue) M3 ZCP with a clear bra. It's a partial hood & all forward surfaces application. I love the protection, but the seams show from some previous wax job. Short of replacement, is there any way to treat the edges to reduce their visibility?

my question is about the install process of the clear bra. are they precut or do you have to custom cut for each car ? if so I would assume that you need to cut the bra on the actual car . how do you avoid cutting into the paint itself ? I had an issue with a well known window tinter that you did a video on because he cut the tint on the outside of the glass and the blade cut into the glass leaving long visible scratches everywhere

Hi Larry, I just purchased a car that has a clear bra. It’s only 2 years old but it has caked on dirt all around the edges. There is even one spot where it has lifted up and has ~5mm of dirt stuck underneath. I was hoping you could go into these conditions and what I should do about it. For the caked dirt, I was using a clay bar along the edge (lightly) but without much success For the one bad spot, should I attempt to cut it out with a sharp blade? Thanks I’m advance.

Hey Larry, very cool and informative video. However I've got a question. Why does the clear bra has visible edges and does not wrap around the body panel edges just like a wrap/vinyl? Is it because its thicker and as you mentioned will rub if you open the door or is it because its harder than a wrap and not as stretchable so it will not wrap perfectly around tight corners and cause the clear bra to crease and fold. +StasRyadinsky Because its designed to be removed its easier to just replace. However, their are some guys who feel its important to remove the PANELS and then wrap around the edges so its seamless. I respect that, but feel its too risky to remove factory parts to gain 1/16 inch coverage at the cost or "risk" of not putting the panels back together properly. (Which is always the case. The Panel is never as good as when it was installed from the factory.) Again, I think its great if the car is already in pieces (for a restoration or something) but silly to do if the car is already built. Just my opinion in most cases

Some films talk about using a heat gun to "heal" or remove scratches - did you want to speak to that? Another thing would be good to cover is removing calcium water spots on a film (vinegar, iso, laquer thinner, etc). Good vid, thanks! :)

clear bra first, then coating. You want the best adhesion between the clear bra and the paint so no coating, sealant, or wax on the paint before clear bra install.
