How To Properly Use Your 3D CNC Touch Probe

Why do you need a 3D CNC Touch Probe?
If you're looking for the accuracy with your CNC projects, a 3D touch probe is absolutely necessary. In this video, I work with the Onefinity CNC 3D touch probe to process a wood carving with just a couple clicks of a button.
With a CNC touch probe, you have various options of probing the X, Y, and Z axis for a perfect carve or engraving every time.

First time I ran mine and homed the machine just like this my bit hit the clamps. Then again when I went to start the project as it was moving from the home position to the starting point of the first cut and I broke the bit. Definitely a learning experience

if hit clamp not has looking code good and safety height not have make. clamp neeed be sure out of working area.and safety height need setting before try start machine first time

Thank you for the video, I noticed after I crashed my bit that you didn't mention that the drill your using needs to be in the corner circle to start. I should have paid more attention.

Thank you for this video. All the videos showing a project carve, do not include this. And granted if they did show it, the video would be longer and the same intro every time. I appreciate you doing a video just on this. One question. Since you changed bits, did you load a different file to start the carve for the second bit?

Wait. How did you get it to tell you to insert tool before starting and re-probe for z after a tool change? That's so cool. I don't have VCarve Pro, I am using Fusion 360. When I do a tool change it won't let me re-probe for z.

I’m not too familiar with other software, but yes - VCarve Pro allows you to re-probe Z after a tool change. Pretty cool indeed!

Hey JT! I’m using VCarve Pro. I highly recommend it although I don’t have much experience with any other software out there. I’ve tried Carveco and Easel on a very minimal level and didn’t like either as much as Vcarve. For my vectors, I build most everything in Adobe Ilustrator, then transfer them to Vcarve to make sure any “kinks” are worked out before milling.

@@cowboycraftsman vcarve can translate traight to machine g-code work. not need other software make g-code what working. if machine not understand normal g-code not have normal good machine. GRBL can use g-code but only some not support all code and have toy. mach3 have worst and dangerous use not have TRUE REALTIME machine very dangerous. linuxcnc working perfect and have flexiple can make lot own hal and makros and tools easy. true realtime and true pro software, not toy. many sell cnc but all american cnc machines i has test and looking have something worst shit.- only germany has can build good machines and only liuxcnc software support all what pro need.

very worst toy cnc machine, linear rails not have support ,not good, spindle have worst router noise lot and not good to cnc, need be REAL spindle can controll better speed,heat,etc and not noise horriple. software not good similar than old pre history GRBL worst controlling system, pro not newer buy or use this. maybe young 8 year boy first machine can use.
