How to properly wear MOPP levels.

This video will demonstrate how to properly wear all levels of MOPP Gear.
Prior to putting on any MOPP level, your JSLIST must be issued, prepared, and available within 5 minutes.
MOPP LEVEL 0: protective mask and carrier with filters and field gear worn.
MOPP LEVEL 1: Overgarments worn with mask carrier.
Protective mask, over boots, and gloves carried.
MOPP LEVEL 2: overgarments worn and over boots.
Protective mask and gloves carried.
MOPP LEVEL 3: overgarments, over boots, and protective mask.
Gloves carried.
MOPP LEVEL 4: overgarments, over boots, protective mask, and gloves.

A few things I saw that was wrong. 1-you put on the M50 Protective Mask first because unless you can hold your breath in a contaminated environment for 8 minutes (which is the time limit allotted to put on the Mopp suit) you’re going to get contaminated. 2-when putting on the hood you need to ensure it goes and is secured all the way around the mask covering any exposed skin without covering the eyes or face properly. 3-then once you zipper and velcro up usually with the help of a fellow soldier to ensure it is properly done you can begin to connect the hood clasps together without gloves on. 4-then you put on gloves as the very last thing you do because as we have all witnessed when you put on gloves when fine motor skills are required you will fail. When the gloves go on the soldier especially ones too large in size they lose finger dexterity, sense of touch, maneuverability, and begin to act like they have lobster claws 🦞 for hands. Just sharing the wealth of knowledge.

1. Their not in a hazardous environment, in which case you don't need to place your mask first. If the sgt called out "gas, gas, gas" when they started then yes he would've need to place on the mask first before going thou mopp 0-4. 2. Agreed 3. it is possible but very difficult to do it with the gloves on. Its much easier to do it without the gloves on first but you can mark them for that as long they secure the mask with hood within the 8 mins. 4. Agreed

so, Im so confused, how do you all see, I was at osan 18, Yokota 19-21. so for our training any seal of the hood is invalidated with this no? Im not trying to be speculative, how the hell are you supposed to be combat effective, if you cant see properly with the hood blocking you?

You didn’t drop to one knee when donning your mask, the hood is not on the lip of the mask therefore blocking his view, and you left the mask carrier open which is the number one reason for a failed inspection.

Why do we have to drop to one knee? I've never really understood that part.

You dont drop to one knee anymore. If you're in a CBRN environment and gas gas gas is called, CBRN material may already be on the ground settled and by dropping to one knee you could potentially contaminate yourself

@@desireesmith5921 They dropped to one knee in the old NBC days. It changed when it switched to CBRN. Still today riot control drops to one knee. Watching the Capital riots 6 Jan on TV, I noticed all the LEO's dropping to one knee while donning their mask's.. thought that was interesting. Maybe because they new it was just CS gas, but who knows, or the fact that they just follow different guidance.

How does one accurately complete cheek to butt stock with firearms in combat at mop level 4. What is the ratio for accuracy compared to mopp 0

I was trained to put the butt on my upper arm, cant the rifle, and rest the stock on top of the filter. Imagine shooting with the rifle on your cheekbone, rather than cheek.
