How did you learn all of the details of land management? Was it a slow process of learning yourself over time, or did you get some kind of training or education?

I learned through a combination of on-the-job training and guidance from a Forest Service official that is in charge of contracts. Government contracts come with a Fire Mitigation Plan that outlines what exactly needs to be done to meet certain requirements. The more contracts I did, the more the process became fine tuned.
