is it correct to say in summation, n+1 is actually indexing, seeking for the next n value? rather than n's value +1? shouldnt it use the square brackets rather than parentheses? omg i proved the practice exercise! feeling damn proud of myself!!

Hey Nate, thanks for watching! I’m sorry I don’t quite understand your question. Are you referring to a sum at a specific point in the video? Give me the time stamp if so and that might help me understand what you mean. And great work proving the practice exercise, you should feel proud, proof by induction can be a great challenge to understand at first. I know I found it very bizarre to start doing induction after first learning direct proofs and proofs by contradiction, and maybe a few others that all felt fairly similar. To me, induction felt way different though, because all of a sudden our proofs were written in two distinct sections. It seems perfectly natural now though, and is a beautiful technique!

You are very welcome, and thank you! Funnily enough I recorded a video just like this on contradiction proofs a couple weeks ago, but it has not come out yet. Super important and cool stuff, so there will certainly be more videos like this in the future. Thanks, as always, for watching!
