I recently tripled the size of my fruit tree orchard and also added blueberries to the mix. Your videos are very informative and well done, thank you.

Where are the pruning videos for this year? I want to see how things are shaping up. Have you stopped making videos?

Fantastic Gary! I like the numerical and chronological instruction and results. Its good to know the reasons why you are doing something before going to the demonstration. DO apple trees and other fruiting nutting tree pruning instruction with the data in the front. This video seemed like a really well done college instructional.

This is how I approach all of my videos. I like to explain why I do something and what to expect as a result of my action. I will make a video later on how things turn out. Also, I did 3 videos on training this particular tree tyhe links are included: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXabZHmkaq59gdE kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIqUdoaMotisgKs kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKfZlaJueL91a6c and the disaster year: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4q3mppmia-efqs Thanks for watching. MSU must have a really good horticulture program-whenever I’m googling something about Michigan plants, MSU is constantly at the top of the search result. My uncle also studied horticulture there, and I think my childhood friend studied there, too ☺️

Thanks Gary good tips. I made 1x1 frame over my bed of blueberries wrapped with plastic deer fence. Walk-in pick away. Bird problem solved. And pots of strawberries in the enclosure too. In Michigan with the Robin Epidemic you can hardly grow strawberries and blueberries.

It seems they feel entitled to the fruits of your labor. I just assume there has been a misunderstanding. They probably thought that you planted it for them.

Gary, took your advice and purchased a pair of battery powered clippers. Love them! Going to follow your advice and prune the water sprouts on my apples a bit later this year and see if I can retard their "exuberance". Thanks for great videos.

Gary, what BB variety do you plant? and How old are the plants? Again nice video.

The cultivars I grow include Bluecrop, Blueray, Patriot, Elliot, and Northland. I selected each of these because they were highly rated for flavor and are recommended for Michigan. The plant that I pruned are probably at least 15 years old and was on a friends property.
