Yes thank you! I'm not experienced much with gardening. So there has be a lot of research + trial and error. I just got a dill seedlings like 3 weeks ago. It didn’t have the flower bit on it when i got it. And when i seen the flowering start at the top. I was a little confused and unsure what to do. I didn’t want to mess up the plant to where it didn't grow for next year. But from my research, the only video's or info i found were a bit confusing on when and how to cut the flower bit off. So that you still get to use the dill for the rest of its season and it will still grow back to come back for next season. Ya'lls video is like one of the most understandable ones with a close up of it as well. Ya'll also helped up my pruning game as well! So thank you thank you thank you 💚😊

I planted the dill in the ground next to my tomatoes, to bring in pollinators, and I also planted .arigolds seeds around my tomatoes and peppers which are in full bloom to keep pest away, and I have not had any pest issues by doing thjs.

I love dill, and try to grow lot's of it in the summer, it freezes extremely well (tastes great, much better than drying.) Oddly enough, even though dill has a long tap root, I have successfully grown it in gallon pots on my balcony.

Im new to gardening and I didn't prune my dill. It grew high in a box planter and its all flowered and drying for seeds now. Should I take the seeds and store them until spring or just let the seeds fall off to grow next year or wipl ths seeds end up going to wasted that way and die oncs it snows? Idk much about herb gardeniglng like I said. Its fun and I can't wait until next year to olant more. I was also thinking of saving the seeds and growing the dill in the dirt in my yard. Making a small far of sorts and if so saving my seeds until spring? How many seeds should be saved (looks like i have thousands) and planted or just save all and plant all?

We did the exact opposite, pruning all the side branches while letting the center grow. Now the plant is all gangly. Is there any way to fix this? Will new branches grow near where the pruned branches were? Can we replant the the stem deeper in the ground?

Same! I didn't want to mess it up for next year but I also wanted to be able use the dill for as long as I can for the rest it's growing season this year. I'm fairly new to the whole gardening/ plant care thing. So I was a bit confused And didn't know what to do. I've also been struggling with my Duke blueberry plant as well. I got it on clearance on the same day as the dill 3-4 weeks ago. I read the care instructions that came with it just a bit confused on where to go from here and if I am doing it correctly. Since it looks like it's in one of it's dormant stages now and when I got it. And from my research it's kinda early for that.

Nice video! I grew dill last year for the first time but I didn't harvest it because it was just 1 plant and I grew it just to see how it would turn out. It turned out really well and this year I'm going to plant more and properly harvest them and dehydrate them for the winter months.

Can you use a sprig of dill to grow a dill plant or do you have to use seeds?

@tropicalterrarium17426 жыл бұрын
I mass seed them. Some people space them, some people thin them out, I personally let nature take its course with mass seeding. They support eachother while growing up. They like to be watered more than other herbs I have noticed

dont mass them too much otherwise it would be a waste of seeds

My number one herb. I wish I could find a bushy variety of it I saw 15 years ago I don't remember where, but it was a farm growing herbs and tomatoes for rich clients expecting produce to be delivered to the house. All my search on internet was unsucsesslul... I would appreciate if someone gave me a clue where I can buy a bushy variety of dill. I'm interested in plants that have a rich foliage.
