I personally love the junkyard series. Been pulling parts for over twenty years but know I can still learn from others. In the past I've always completely pulled the axles which probably added thirty minutes. Definitely going to try it your way next time. I wonder why some 3g's don't suffer input shaft bearing failures but some do, faulty batches of bearings maybe? And I stacked a few rear seat cushions to let my last transmission fall on. Definitely not getting under there and lifting it. Also I would have been completely soaked with sweat here in this NC humidity.

If I’m at home I pull the axles out, but I wasn’t worried about damaging them and it saves a little time
