Thank you for the demonstration, seen it before on other site. The bad thing about change the battery, on Hero+ is that GoPro say you can't even change the friking battery on that model!

i just got one of these with the lcd screen wont turn on or charge ,your video has made removing the battery very easy thank you i now have it on o hobby charger charging happyly ,i see the batterys are quite easy to get hold of now so if this one powers up i wont have a problem getting hold of a replacement ,the one i have removed is 10 years old ,ill let you know if it turns on and will then charge through the gopro plus

Yo bro, thank you so much. I had just finished recording a time lapse, and i shut the gopro off. Then when i tried to turn it on a little bit later, it wouldnt turn on. And then i found out it wouldnt charge either. This really helped.

I had a few cheap knock off gopro $14 things from ebay laying around (because they were no good at videoing), I desoldered the wires from the battery, and stuck them in the connectors of the batteries of the others, and it works and charges..... and I let them sit for longer than the gopro, wow such quality gopro has? Their business is doing great right?

My go pro with lcd piped out of the casing because I dropped it Rip I didn’t need a screwdriver but either way I took that chance to remove the battery and swap it out

Same thing, only you cannot remove the cap completely otherwise you rip the connection from the lcd. Just let it dangle.

I actually had a problem where mine was locking up on occasion, I could not power it down, so pulling the battery just to disconnect and reconnect it was the only way to force reboot it. However, there are battery replacements options out there. Did you ever find one?
