Team fire seems to be the "skill" most of my randoms don't have. I am by no means perfect at it, but honestly I always seem to get the guy who wants to 1v3 every fight. It gets really frustrating.

Just wanted to point out that the rev may have had voice disabled and when he saw the spam pings on the ac unit it's basically pretty universal to play aggro in this scenario. I've solo'd to masters with voice disabled bc I get nervous and I know when I see spam pings like at after an initial engagement it's either they rezzing or 1 shot

I have a suggestion for respawn: put videos like this in the events tab or something to teach newer or incompetent players how to be better. Sure if you want the knowledge someone should seek it for themselves (as I’m sure most of us here are doing,) however I think it would bridge the gap in skill level if the information was there from the start 🧐 just an idea, but as always very informative and watching you and other coaches teaches a lot that I keep in mind when playing. Keep up the great work 👍

I don't know what you define as a difficult solo queuing experience but it's not the one where both of your teammates have red shields. In most of my solo queue games I have to actually ping to get people to switch to a better shield that's right in front of them and sometimes they still don't pick it up. This is also in ranked. In casual you are better of playing duos with no-fill when soloing if you actually want to win or at least try to get better at the game

Thats funny, I started Apex with 0 hours as a complete beginner and I never had that experience, not even once :D Everybody was picking up the armor and (looking back at it) had at least a decend understanding of the game :D

Nah you get better playing solos too. Your teamwork doesn’t get better playing solos. Playing solos helps you learn the maps and get a feel for the weapons without having to worry about what your team is doing. I stay alive longer when im solo, bc im not running to pick up teammates who need to push every enemy, something I don’t feel a need to do. My kills aren’t very high but I was winning matches the first day I got on just bc I mostly let everyone kill each other for me 😂. Then I clean up when it gets tight….or when 2 teams are fighting near me I take nibbles off of each team 😈

Just wanna say that playstyle is also very dependant on your character as well as your team mates. Learn to adapt to your team mates playstyles as much as possible, and use your character to YOUR advantage to help your team. Im usually the better of the 3 when i solo q, so when i play i usually try my best to assist my team as soon as i hear or see my team being pushed. Its very frustrating when you knock a person or two and crack the last while your team is lagging behind or playing passive when all that is needed is a few bullets from ONE of my team mates. If you see your team mate in there and killing people, be right behind them to help, even fi you're a couple seconds behind. Dont be so late that they get a res and a heal off

Just got 2 buddies of mine into the game, I was masters in S14 last and haven’t played since. Now I feel rusty and need to figure out rotations but I can’t get them down, I can win all my ones and clutch 1v2’s. I don't really play with randoms much, but the one thing that I find the most frustrating is that my team mates I do play with seem to have less than average situational awareness in almost every single engagement we take. It's extremely annoying because I just want to play "normal" and call out info and have it received and digested, and then do the same when they say things. The problem is, they very often have no clue at all wtf is going on, and I have to guide them through every single decision/move. These people have the same amount of time, if not more, as I do... I never feel like I can full focus on wtf I'm doing, and it slows me (and therefore the team) down. No idea what I should tell them other than "gitgud"

Such good info. I watched your controller setting video and had me look at my settings..at some point when Apex launched I like maxed out my sensitivity. Could barely hit people so I had to play smarter. Now that my sensitivity is fixed I'm winning way more fights and these little tips will definitely help me get to a new level. I found myself becoming the guy who wants the 1v3 with the new gun skill....man it doesnt work. Another great and informative video.

Idk if you mentioned it in the final clip but I noticed one mistake I'll make is pushing to far into an area where we're fighting when I don't know exactly where enemies are & then I accidentally get drilled. I noticed you kind of slid back like nope this is close enough once you were at the corner & then you actually listened before moving again. Perhaps this seems basic or obvious but with an anxiety disorder I'm often left shaking while attempting to game & sometimes I just make dumb mistakes as well. I wish there was a better way to get to the point of having good instincts besides playing & reviewing my games so if you see this & decide to take pity on a filthy casual I'd appreciate any suggestions. Love the content & your easy to understand way of breaking things down.

I wanna say when you get confident enough in your mechanics, that anxiety will be less prevelant. I had the same kind of anxiety, albeit in another game (Overwatch). I practiced the living hell out of my aim and other mechanics in other game modes with more combat uptime such as deatmatch etc and went back into ranked with confidence.

I used to love playing support for my teammates, but lately they play like absolute garbage. They die immediately to a team they pushed solo so i cant revive them as lifeline. Second guy does the exact same thing and now im getting yelled at on mic for being "useless". Basically watch a video of a honey badger. That’s what you need to do. Be smart and pick your fights but when a fights in your way. Fight tooth and nail with everything you got and take space when you need it, reset, and fight more. Literally exactly what a honey badger does in a fight.

I feel like your team was never "aware" of the Pathfinder to the right. Maggie did use her tactical, and the Revenant did push with his ultimate. It wasn't a terrible push to me.

I tell my friends how important getting damage is in apex and they get mad at me... like bro I'm at like 5 hundred damage in one fight and you have 50, we can't win when I'm basically fighting 3 people by myself and you hit them like a nat, ( and I hear him shooting his gun as much as me) like we've been playing apex for 3years now what are doing lol. The most important thing in apex is damage, meaning using your weapon and hitting your shots is the most fundamental thing in an fps game.

bro im going through the same thing the other day our 3rd got knocked but he got his 1 and me and my other homie are low (50 hp) but i hear caustic near and i crack him and get a few licks in after the crack and then their 3rd walks in and i beam her (gold shield full health) and get the knock all while caustic gets a bat off and he swings right after my knock and i try to hit him with ny last few bullets but he ends up knocking me and i look to my team mate to see where hes at and hes nose first in a box saying "i needed shields" (we lost obviously) and me and our 3rd keep trying to explain to him that its a numbers game and if he wouldve just helped me in the fight we couldve won it and he couldve gotten his shield plus more. it hurts even more cause its literally been 3 years since hes started and he barely imoroves even when we give out so much advice on how to get better

My friend and I have been playing apex for three years now too... and I'll try to name a POI on the map and he'll be like "where that at" 😑 like bro for real? Or will run out of ammo in the first fight even though we landed and looted an entire POI by ourselves, or we win a game in ranked and I've got like 2700 damage he's complaining that our random isn't doing anything but then the random also had like 2450 and my friend will have 568 damage, and I'll just be on mute talking to myself on how disappointed I am 🤣 like 3 years playing this game he should be popping off, on average out first team fight each match we get into hell have like 143 damage to my 800, and we lose because he just isn't pumping out the numbers. We play all kinds of shooters so this isn't like a new thing 🤣 idk mannnn I can even chalk it to age because I'm 30 and he's 30 like damnnnnn 🤣🤣🤣
