Bro, I have been searching for this for a minute. I have the MPC One and because of this video I was finally able to find controller mode. I thought I was going crazy because I thought it was plug and play once I installed the MPC Software and the Drivers. Man you have no idea how happy I am now!!!!!

In controller mode can you drag and drop savors and mpc expansions to and from the mpc live 2 back into the computer?

Yes it’s a way for you to move your expansions for software to hardware by using a usb drive

I’m on a PC so When I’m switching from controller mode to standalone I’m having to unplug the interface from the computer and plug directly into the MPC and change the audio device to the interface in order to hear anything through the monitors. When you switched back and forth I heard your computer disconnect and reconnect. How are you doing that? Make sense??

When I am in standalone mode I don’t use my interface. I use my headphones to hear the audio. The MPC has built in audio interface. If you want to hear sound out of your monitor all you have to do is take the monitor cables out of your interface and plug it into your MPC Main out. Then when going back to controller mode plug them back into your interface. Only time to connect your interface to your MPC is if you want more in and outs and Mic for some MPC. I don’t connect and interface to my MPC at all. You really don’t need it🙏🏾👍🏾 let me know if that helped you

I have it in Controller Mode and I still can't hear anything coming out of my Interface to the Speakers... Trying to use Omnisphere 2. Can't find ANY videos on how to do this in Logic. 1) Create a new track 2) Slect Software Instrument - Omnisphere 3)Make sure it's in Controller Mode and still nothing.... Yes my USB from the Key37 is connected to my Mac

From what I hear. The MPC acts funny with Mac’s. I don’t use a Mac so I am not sure why you are having that issue.

Everytime I turn the MPC on while connected & with Logic opened, the audio Input & Output switches to the MPC then I have to switch it back to the Apollo. I see the keys I’m pressing in the Transport section but don’t see or hear the notes on the mixer channel. Is there something Logic I need to change?

It always say that on my mpc key 61. I always just hit yes when it ask me if I ejected all driver attached to the mpc . I always just ignore it and I been doing it for years and nothing happened. But that’s mines I am not sure if it’s a way just do some research. That’s what I do to mines

Yo bro I have my focusrite solo and a mac air laptop with my mpc x. Now in preferences in my input is mpc x audio and in my output is my focusrite but what I don't understand is why I can't use my headphones on my mpc x or my focusrite or my laptop? Help bro lol

I use a PC I don’t use a Mac . But inside the preferences. Of the mpc software when selecting audio. The input and the output should be set to the Focusrite. Then you should be able to use your headphone inside the focusrite. If you are not using the focusrite and just connect the mpc straight to the MAC. Then the input and the outputs should be set to the MPC X. The the headphones will be plugged into the MPC X. Let me know if that helped

@baybizzle84 you are trying to get the headphones to work right? If so did you plug the headphones into the focusrite. And then turn the main audio down on the focusrite. And turn the headphones up on the focusrite

I’ve gotten it connected but idk why I press one note and others play(no pad perform on) I can’t keep tapping the same pad (sound only comes on once) shit is a headache

Depending which software you're using, you may need to load up the correct button settings so your software doesn't misread, which is what happening. There's usually many different preset midi control schemes and you may have the wrong one loaded.

No it doesn’t come with an sd card the MPC X does have a slot for an sad drive underneath. What ever you do make sure you don’t save nothing to the main internal drive you will . That will use up your space

After that it should be ready to go out the box. For standalone and for controller mode. It has a built it Audio interface that is good . Until you can get an external one. Like a Focusrite or any other device

You have to make sure your mpc drivers is installed and make sure you are using Asio drivers for the sound source. That’s the only thing I can think about that could be wrong.
