This was the best explanation of how to fit a backpack that I have seen online. Well done, bro.

The load lifters can be pulled closer to the body, especially on steeper paths, to shift the weight more towards the center of the body, providing better balance and stability.

Great tip. Definitely a fine balance. If you pull too hard, you'll put too much pressure on your chest. I play with them as I hike and adjust where needed.

@@DialedinHunter When I hike I pull on them real hard. I do this with any pack over 25kl lol just makes it easier for me. (probably really bad for me)

It's truly amazing what a difference this can make on a hike. When I first started, I had bruised shoulders the next day from not having the straps done right. Wasn't until I hiked with a buddy and they pointed it out to me that I had it all wrong. all the weight was on my shoulders.

Bingo! For sure. Doesn't matter how much money someone spends on a Backpack. If they aren't putting it on right, it isn't gonna work right.

@@DialedinHunter I agree with you 100%. To get the most out of any piece of gear, one must know how to use it properly and put that knowledge to use.

@@TheWVgoodguy22 agreed. It takes time with your gear to get things dialed in right.

I think its a body type and conditioning thing. If you are v shaped with big shoulders and small hips you gonna want everything ripped up high so it feels like its all on your shoulders pushingdown like a squat bar.. If it drops down it feels like its underneath your centre of gravity and pushing your hips forward. People with buts are better carrying it low and boxy square people in the middle.
