I own a 04 corolla with 07 scion tc wheels 215/50r17 Dont go bigger as with this setup has minor fender rubbing on full turns.

yup, hell yeah!!! anyone with a brain can look at the scion rim nut holes and instantly notice that the holes are not tapered. so if you use nuts that are tapered, all the weight of the car and everything sits only on the tapered part of the nuts.... ps, literally just pick up a set of scion tc wheels for my pontiac vibe and that was the first thing i notice, that the nut holes on the rim is not tapered at all.. got me thinking right away. i instantly know i cant use my regular nuts.. your video just comfirm for me, thanx

Use a wheel calculator. If your changing any size wheel or tire then your car came stock from Factory with, your speedo will read wrong.. your car computer is programmed for the exact circumference width, height, which all play in how fast they spin to reach certain speed.. my carolla has 195/65/15 stock, and I have these same 17 tv wheels I'm about to put on.. the closest match is 225/45/17.. 215/45/17 will work, closely too.. but 225 even will be like 2mph off when it says 100... Somewhere around there.. I'ma have a stiffer ride with the low sidewalls, but even if I went up to 50, it made too much of a difference and I'm anal... After thousands of miles your odometer will be off... Almost reguardless but very tiny barely an issue rather then not even checking, and putting 55s like he said will make the circumference way bigger. Ontop of already bigger wheels.. going 100, you'll really be doing like 90, your odometer will be way off after thousands of miles

From what year are those scion wheels? By any chance do you know if the Scion tC calipers will work on the corolla?

Hey, ummm I don't know the years to be honest. That's a good question. I know they are the 1st body style scion tc. Not the last model. As far as the calipers I wouldn't play with swapping brakes or calipers. They have part numbers and stuff for a reason.

What was the original wheel and tire size on Carolla? I'm about to do this to my base model 2010 carolla. They have stock 195/65/15s, and I got some 2008 TC wheels... I've done some wheel calculators and it says 225/45/17 would be almost perfect replacement without messing with Odometers... You change any dimensions and you change the whole dynamics.. after thousands of miles your odometer will be off hundreds

Did you have to use spacers? Also did you have to get an alignment afterwards. I have a 2011 Corolla LE and I swap my wheels for the Scion TC rims. It is pulling hard to the left and I hear a slight noise. What are your thoughts? Last question did you consider the offset of the size or did it not matter?

No spacers, no alignment. This only works for 2014+ model years. If your Corolla doesn’t look like mine it might not work.
