Heres a video of how I put Tufting Fabric on frame. It's really important to keep the fabric straight and make it as tight as possible.

You deserve more subs. A lot of people just talk and yap then pretty much do things for quantity but this video is quality and to the point

This video is so helpful! I would want a frame this size so the cloth can fit well and have some left over. I will build my next frame and consider the cloth size as well as portability and being able to attach it to a table as well

Dude your channel is awesome. I watched your first video, now this one. I am in to watch them all now. I just discovered this hobby & got the same paisley orange tufting gun you have with the rad toggle switch or aviation style switch on it, based on your recommendation. I am excited to try a new thing. I got some hardware to make a 36x36 frame + an 80x120 sheet of tufting cloth so I figure I can make six 40x40 pieces that should give me the extra couple of inches on every side to do 6 rugs to learn on. So far, I think you are the authority on this subject, nothing against other channels, they are just nowhere near as tightly made & explanatory as yours - you are the rug dude to watch, for sure. Subbed & belled.

HI! Thanks for the advice I have a question, if the carpet isn't really tight like these in your video, is that a problem or could it still be fine?
@justruginit Жыл бұрын
That’s hard question to answers. Stretching the fabric helps prevent tears when your tufting. If your still tufting and the yarn is getting in there without tear, your good

Did you use a certain brand of carpet tacks? I used a blue brand from Lowe’s but I don’t feel like it grabs like yours
@justruginit Жыл бұрын
I got mine from Home Depot because it’s closer to me. No real reason other than that. Just make sure the tacks are pointed outward

Thanks for your help but i have i question ,after I stretched the fabric The piece of cloth loosens when i start tufting what is the issue in that case and how can i fix it ?
@justruginit9 ай бұрын

Do the carpet tacs ever get dull?
@justruginit Жыл бұрын
Not yet, but i stretch the fabric pretty tight and I have noticed a few of the tacks broken off. Might be time to replace a few of the strips

You might have the tack strip pointed the wrong way. They are slightly angled to hold
