I make midi audio quantizations from edrums roland td27 in cubase 13 pro. I want to ask while working in the key editor for which human natural effect in midi recording is it preferable to do soft quantize or humanized quantize?

I think it’s best to try out different percentages of the soft quantize to see what matches your taste. A higher percentage will pull the notes more towards the closest grid position, depending on your grid settings.

Hi! Maybe the right output isn't connected. Go to Studio > Audio Connections > Outputs and check if both left and right are assigned to a port. I also made a video about this called 'No sound in Cubase'. There you can see what I mean.

Sorry, this is NOT for Cubase Elements (or lower), but there is a kind of workaround: Enable Automatic Hitpoint Detection: activated in the Preferences dialog (Editing-Audio page). Select Audiofile -> Audio -> Hitpoints -> "Create events from the audio" and then push the Q key

Hello I'm having a problem and I hope you can help me please. Thank you. In the key editor when I'm trying to size the notes , the note it's following the snap settings exactly. (Example: when it set to 1/4, when I'm stretching the note ,it will stretched only to 1/128 ,so i would have to stretch again until I will rich to the 1/4. I hope I explained well , and thank you again

Hi! If I understand you correctly this sounds like a 'quantize length' issue. So Cubase quantizes the length of your midi note. If the note starts a little off grid and you stretch it out, the snap setting will apply to the length of the note, and not to the grid itself. To change this, either go to the quantize menu on the left and click the button 'quantize ends'. Or go to Edit > Advanced Quantize > Quantize MIDI Event Ends. Hope that solves your problem!

@@yosefoknin There is! Right click to create a new track, choose 'signature', switch to the draw tool and click where you want to set/change the time signature. Then click in the little tab it creates and type in the signature you want it to change to.

What is quantize and what does it do? Whats the purpose?

You use it to snap midi or audio to the grid. If you’re going to record your vocals while playing guitar, like you mentioned before, it’ll sound more natural to not quantize though.
