BINGO! Mines a 1903 A4 from the first block 8-43. It has the Weaver 330 scope and the bayonet. One of my best shooting guns.

Great video man! Regarding the scopes, the US army originally approved the M84 (Lyman Alaskan) scope to be the main scope for the rifle, but Lyman struggled to make them in large quantities. Because of that, the weaver 330 (“pencil scope”) was approved to be used in the mean time (designation M73B1). I’m not sure there the M82/M83 scopes fit in, but all scoped 03A4s are so freaking cool! Thanks for the video!

good vid. I think the o3a4s also had four groove barrels instead of two.

If anyone knows about what stripper clips will work well with this rifle and 30.06 ammo, and can be pushed out with the bolt moving forward, please let me know.

I did some testing today and found 3 types that worked for me, recorded the test and I’ll post a video showing it soon. But for your info the clips I found that ejected with the bolt closing were Swedish Mauser, Turkish Mauser (presumably other K98 clips will work?) and the NATO M80 7.62 ball clips . As a control I tried the 1903 clips from some M2 ball ammo and they don’t eject they stop the bolt, as you know.
