I enjoy all the series you did on the Chinese poverty alleviation projects. Traveling to those places must be exhausting even with all the means from the modern transportation. It's truly remarkable that you are a witness and participant for such a historic endeavor.

Most valuable show so far as I was thinking to have a visit to the famous silk making museum in Lyon, France from a tour trip next year. In fact, before late Qing dynasty, Chinese silk producers would let the worms grow as butterflies and then collect the silk, because people thought it too cruel to kill them. However, when European silk producers just killed the worms and saved so much time, they gained a much higher productivity and could sell their silk at a very low price. Then, the Chinese silk producers adapted their way of production and started to kill worms in the late Qing dynasty.

Well, with the way insect nervous systems work, boiling is more humane than you'd think. They don't feel pain in the same way that we do, and boiling quickly paralyzes their nervous system so they don't feel anything.
