I'm an alcoholic in recovery for the first time in 50 years, It was very hard to beat the #alcohol addiction, but after 30 years of trying, I finally did it.

I have a stainless steel pistol that a friend wants me to gold plate. Yes I know that’s a very stereotypical American thing to say. Is there anything I should do in particular when working with stainless steel?

If I plate onto zinc, do I do nickel and then brass before playing with silver? Or do I have to use palladium

Can you plate plastic? I know that the plastic itself can't be plated, but if it was to be painted with a conductive paint or covered properly in say a copper tape that is electrically conducive could you do it? I have some collectibles that are a part of what's called d alegacy collection amd some parts are a bit of a let down because they are plastic instead of die-cast metal like alot of it is etc and these parts I think could really stand to become one of a kind if these specific pieces were to be plated
