I solo q'ed to masters.. honestly my biggest tip is just match whatever play style the randoms on your team do. If they want to play aggressive or play zones just do it, it's 100% better to all 3 be on the same page then you wanting to force them to do what you want. My changing my play-style to my teammates honestly has made the biggest difference in gaining RP consistently.

The hardest part for me is when my teammates have no idea what they're doing xD I'll just crotch behind something and wait for them to figure it out. But I also agree with this. Butting heads with your randoms will only cause more frustration. For me personally, I love a mixture of both aggro randoms and randoms that know when to play a bit slower/safer. It makes earning rp so much better. I would hope my randoms have the same intention and want to earn rp, and not sell their rp doing something reckless.

One thing that has helped me as I watch these better players on yt is that they do things quicker. Fight quicker, Loot quicker, and move on quicker. Sometimes I notice I take way too long fighting or looting and then another team will come

Solo queuing in Plat is so hard this season. I have found easily the worst players at that rank for some reason. Their IQ’s are below the floor. So many try to avoid fights, don’t prioritize getting evo, don’t push 3v3’s off knocks , run right in between separate teams fighting, prioritize shooting at teams farther away while we have a team right on us, ignore teammate pings, and I could keep going on and on. I would suggest premade teams once you hit Plat unless you’re able to win 1v3’s confidently and escape the third party that will almost be guaranteed if you take too long.

I've quit solo qeueing with randoms in Ranked. Pre-made squad only. Good comms make one hell of a difference and the confidence in the people you're playing with. I usually get like 2 decent randoms in 10 matches. it's insane.

I used to be caustic and mirage main, mirage Q can be used for defensive and agressive at the same time... But in this season, use Fuse is a blast too... especially if you are pushing a fighting teams

I’ve got 1300 hours in this game since season 10 and just started grinding rank for the first time in season 20. Rookie to Plat took me about 12 hours of game play by solo queuing. A good team is paramount. If you queue with two people who have mics, you’ll make big leaps through the system.

I really appreciate your last statement in this video about how at the end of the day the point is to have fun. I've been playing a long time and pretty consistently a gold level player and I'm fine with that. I love hopping on with my buddy and just seeing where we get. I don't feel the need to try to get to the highest level. Just have some fun and hopefully have some good games. Your tips have been always helpful!

Always awesome tips from the Apex Plug! In terms with dealing with the cheaters mentally like you were talking about after uploading our duo to pred, we noticed what helped us is having the perspective of "he can't do it to all 3 of us at once" instead of "fuck this game he's cheating" unless you're given the "Destroyer2009 Special" lol. Communicating teamshots is a great way to counter some of the "chosen ones" you encounter, but teamshotting is very undervalued in the lower ranks especially when you're normally all solos. Still though, the fact that we need increased strategy generation to counter cheaters as a pre requisite to have healthy sessions (sessions where you're climbing) is a little silly. Great Video!

So glad you made this! I just find it pretty interesting that when I made it to plat 4, most players continued to think they were playing in gold lobbies still lol I even admit that I took the liberty of disconnecting from the jumpmaster to land at a building a bit away from my team and paid the price lol A team saw this and they all landed on me and I immediately went "well this isn't gonna fly here" lol The things you thought you could get away with in the lower lobbies without losing much rp will not be the same in the higher ranks. If you keep making the same mistake, those negative 60's and negative 80's start to add up really fast.

I 100% agree here MT... I mean I remember back in the old days when apex was heavily reliant on heals and shields. However, now with Rev and Conduit It feels like Apex has changed in an entirely different way. It's crazy when you have been playing this game since it came out and you have experienced it morph into what it is today... I do think that at the very least we should get a new legend that can counter these "specially shielded" legends...

Loba is a savior for solo queue this season - tac is better than ever, letting you escape those fights where your teammates immediately die and leave you in a 3v1 - ultimate makes sure you're kitted but also that your teammates are too, getting the best value out of them - being able to craft banners is the difference between negative rp games and breaking even or going slightly positive

I made it to masters solo without coms the season without the ranked split. Just play off your teammates and stick with them. My biggest tip is you need atleast one guy on the team that can take on the whole team by himself. Just team shoot with him and keep him alive

This is my first time committed to solo queue to Masters. I’m P2 right now, but the most truth to this video is the fact that solo queue IS NOT FUN. It’s actually self torture, but I’m committed to reach the goal. I’ve always and only ever played Apex with IRLs who are way worse than me, so we never could really grind ranked. Apex is a team game, and solo queue takes the fun out of the team experience. Sure I have a few fun games where things are clicking and we roll the lobby, but 90% of the time we’re just on different pages and I’m pissed off because somebody (or me) threw the game.

I think it's my teammates but also me sometimes. i mean i was terrible the first 1-2 years i played the game then i had a break came back about 1 1/2 years ago and ive improved so much so if you find that you are losing a lot just take a break for a couple months iwas at 330 average damage with a 1.3 kd now im at a 6 kd with 1180 average damage taking a break really fixes frustration with the game

Solo queue player here, solo queue sucks but if you’re going to play it and you’re going to stick to it be the flexible player try to avoid a legend that plays badly in any common scenario example caustic out in the open he just sucks to play. I personally pick mirage, he’s a very neutral game player, and if you’re good at mind games he can give critical information especially if a 3rd party shows up and they shoot a decoy. Not to mention in solo queue you gotta get out of situations more often then get into them.

The worst is getting out of plat 4, those plat 4 players are so bad is crazy. Those are the guys that spend the whole season grinding out of gold or got carried out of gold then they’re now stuck in plat. They make the game more harder than people that actually wanna rank up. I finally realized why apex added that you most get a win to enter a next tier rank in s18. Hardstuck gold 1 -plat 4 players are the worst this season. 90% of them aren’t meant to be in plat lobbies. Gold is just too easy this season that’s probably why

Also I’ve played with preds and masters players and they all play the same, aggressive TOGETHER! Knew when to dip out of a fight and wait till later.

Sometimes low level randoms perform better than some 20 bomb pred trail players. So take those 20 bomb badges with a grain of salt

for console players, the cheaters found a way to get into console lobbies so there is some really hard cheats in plat and above. also, the lag switching is insane and ofc there's the usual zen users. I've lost so much rp to cheaters

It's impossible for rats to get points and I love that this season. I was forced to rat because both of my teammates disconnected at start of match, as a diamond player I managed to rat to 2nd place with 0kp...+15 points when I got back to lobby 😂 swear to god.

If you play on console, you have a rising amount of strike pack users. A strike pack ia considered cheating... So no matter what platform you are on and what input you are using, the higher you rank, the higher the cheater per match rate.

Diamond is a bit harder now since you lose 80 rp so that forces people to not fight i mean i got three kills and three assists top 9 and still -75 then died season 19 was goos them promo trials was good

I'm d3 rn and it took me 90 games...It's not hard you just have to be better... I dropped 2 20s in pubs this season, a 3kd in ranked, and if i was to offer any tip it would be not to feed any ideas in your head of delusion. Most of my friends list is masters S12-S19 and they tbh aren't real masters... (They are hard stuck P4 and D4) This season is a true test, and yes there are a lot of cheaters but there were in S5 also. If you make masters/pred this season hats off to you, if you didn't, congrats that's you REAL rank and should advertise as such from now on in discord and on TT 😈
