Check plan suggested below: Day 1 - Ludhiana-Srinagar Day 2 - Srinagar-Kargil Day 3 - Kargil-Leh Day 4 - Leh rest and acclimatize Day 5 - Leh to Terido Village, rest and acclimatize, visit Teriphu Village (check video of Cho House: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4vch2RjfpuCqa8 Day 6 - Terido to Hanle via Nyoma - Loma (tank up at Nyoma) Day 7 - Leave 6.30 AM for Umling La and be back to Hanle by 12-1 PM and continue to Tso Moriri Lake for night stay via Loma - Nyoma (tank up again) Day 8 - Tso Moriri to Sarchu Day 9 - Sarchu to Manali Day 10 - Manali to Ludhiana

There is no petrol pump between Darcha and Padum. You will get petrol pump at Keylong first before Darcha and then directly at Padum. In between there is no petrol pump

From Manali to Padum you may get local shared jeeps even though they are little less in number so you have to find it harder there. Sorry there is no contact of Manali union as I do not believe the taxi operators operate via union up there as they do in Ladakh. Hi mate, Really an informative video. I have done Leh-Khardungla-Nubra-Pangong by car. In 2022 I did Spiti on my bike and this year I am planning for Zanskar valley in May. I am based out of Pune and want to complete the whole trip on my bike. How many days should I keep in consideration if I choose the Srinagar route to enter Zanskar and Manali route to return? Also, does Airtel postpaid work in those areas?

Thank you bhai... Well from Srinagar side to reach Padum you will need about 5 days to reach Padum from Delhi (Jammu, Srinagar, Kargil, Rangdum, Padum night stops) then couple of days at least of sightseeing in Padum and resting there. Then from there Padum to Purne covering Phuktal Monastery trek on Day 8. Then Purne to Jispa, Jispa to Manali and Manali to Delhi OR Purne to Manali, Manali to Delhi if you have less days.

Post breakfast, departure from Manali to Jispa via Solang Nallah and Atal tunnel Overnight at Jispa Day 3. Jispa to Purney via Shinku la pass, Gonbo Rangjon, Kargyak. Overnight in camps at Purney Day 4. , 1.5 hours each way trek to Phugtal and back to Purney, and then drive to Padum via Bardan Monastery, Overnight at Padum. Day 5. local sightseeing, Holy lake Sani, Karsha monastery, Stongdey and view point of Padum in the evening. Day 6. proceed to Lamayouru via Zangla palace, Singey la pass, Photosksar, Sirisir la. Overnight at Lamayouru. Day 7. Lamayouru to Leh via Alchi, Sangam, magnetic hill Pathersahab(Gurudwara) and hall of fame. Overnight at Leh. Day 8. Local sightseeing in Leh.Overnight at Leh. Day 9. Bhai, it depends on snow cover and safety... Even though highly unlikely it will be but every year for last couple of years BRO is breaking records in terms of opening the Ladakh roads early.. Don't have high hopes but I will 100% not rule it out. You may be lucky this year.. They only allow tourists once it is safe, so stay tuned on my channel for monthly travel updates for Himalayas starting April for the rest of the season.

Bhai scootys are available to rent from both Manali as well as Leh but it will be a long, tiring, determined ride on scooty to Zanskar from Leh as well as Manali. You need to have that endurance and patience to do it. Are you experienced with long distance scooty ride in not so good roads?

@@discoverwithdheeraj I have fallen in love with people and culture of Zanskar. I think I have patience to drive slow and easy. I use to drive Activa but now I use only car. Never driven manual bikes so bit afraid to use them but want to go to zanskar no matter what.

I am speaking from Bangladesh. Are Bangladeshis allowed to go anywhere in Ladakh?

Bangladeshi citizens also need to get permission from MHA, New Delhi to travel in Inner Line Areas of Ladakh including Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso, and Tso Moriri. I am sorry but I am not 100% sure about how to apply for this permission in MHA, New Delhi. If you get to know please share with me too so that I can help other fellow travelers coming from Bangladesh as well. However, if you are unable to get the permission for visiting Ladakh, you may want to consider Zanskar Valley where I do not think any permit is required for foreigners.

Bhai, here are my inputs: 1. Delhi to Zanskar via Srinagar in 8 days can be a bit stetch as it will take almost 4 days just to reach Padum. You can save 1-2 days when doing it from Manali side. 2. Srinagar to Kargil, good roads barring few bad patches near Zojila. Kargil to Rangdum, some sections patchy but many sections tarred. Rangdum - Penzila - Padum is mostly untarred/dirt track type of road. 3. Doable in Ertiga but bumpy drive in Zanskar 4. Your option is to look for a local shared jeep/taxi at Manali taxi stand which will be carrying locals to Padum. These are limited but you can check them over there a day before to book a seat with driver.

You can either either go from Leh to Keylong to Udaipur to Killar and further towards Kishtwar OR can follow the path from Kargil to Srinagar to Anantnag to Sinthan Top to Kishwar

Thanx for the reply. I live in srinagar and want to do the loop from Manali to Leh and back to Srinagar via Kargil. But I am thinking of skipping Manali and go through sinthantop to Kishtwar and then to jispa and onwards Leh. I am bit jittery since I have never been to Ladakh before ? What is the best time of the year for a first timer??

Zubair, the plan seems OK to me but the roads you are choosing can be daunting as a first timer, especially in Pangi Valley. I will advice that since your first time, and you are used to hills driving/riding, you can travel from Manali to Leh and then do the circuit to come back. Killar to Jispa in Pangi becomes challenging at times especially if rains are around travel dates.
