I play on ps5 I definitely feel the disadvantages. Capcom netcode makes it worse. I do a fireball input and it doesn't come out. Sometimes it messes up my combos. But like you said. They can't fix it now.

And your input is correct? Better watch the replay. Could be that or your opponent neutral jumped, no?

@@GameRumble what happens is the game sometimes only gets part of the input. So if the part of the input is not registered the move will not come out.

I have no problem checking dashes against normal opponents, and quite frankly it's one of my strength. Now... when it comes to the "unga bunga" (in Mura's terms)... I hardly ever check an opponent's double dash because I never expect them to be that stupid to begin with 😂😂😂 I once got thrown after the moron did a triple dash from almost full screen... that was the last thing I could expect. Even worse than the legendary triple whiff sweep in attempt to activate VT.

Honda great for stopping dashes man ryu and sakura dashing is the worst even on lag but I trained take me over time but got it done

Dash grab most of the time is not poke-able with lows, and too late with meds and heavies.

I'm a casual PS4 player and had played on TV for almost a year. Was never able to react to anything, anti-airs, whiff punishes and hit confirms. I thought I was just shit and had no talent. Finally had enough and upgraded to an affordable 1ms monitor to confirm to myself if I really am the problem. Turns out it made a world of difference mainly due to the reduced input lag. I was finally able to anti-air and whiff punish more successfully and more importantly I was finally able to have fun as a casual! So console players don't have to rob a bank and upgrade to PC just to have a better experience, a monitor upgrade will suffice. The only reason to go fully PC is for the competitive scene or if you have the money, that not everyone has unfortunately.

yeah, moving from TV to monitor is probably the biggest factor.

For some reason the dev team thinks it's okay to give characters dash up -1 or -2 oki in wakeup. Like yeah it's not "real" if you can react to the dash 100% of the time to jab check. But if you can't react, either from rollback, or laggy monitor, or not being in the 0.001% of players that train this reaction, then it becomes a real mixup.

Yeah, there truly is no simple solution for dealing with these dashes in the game. And, yes, PS4 is just garbage. Still, the insight on situations like dropped combos are helpful. Beyond that, we train harder.

Good point on the training to practice vs jumpin & dash. Wish PS4 didn't make it harder. And that I knew when a character is plus (so many of them, and tons of moves). I'm guessing you use lights instead of CC button to check. And nice info on lower life causing more of dash/jump. Great vid.
