You stated “eliminate choice as much as possible” about choosing between very many decisions over time. Then you said having “no choice” isn’t good if you are basically trapped thus causing depression. I was initially confused. What you meant was actively choose and stick to decisions made earlier in the day, and use ways to get excited about the choice you made (to read). Thanks for the video, this was useful.

Wow, I totally see how that part could be confusing! 😅 Thanks for catching that and for reading between the lines (no pun intended😜) to understand the message. You're absolutely right, and I appreciate you highlighting this. It really helps clarify things for everyone. I appreciate your support, and I'm glad you found the video useful. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! 🤩📚

I loved how you put together all the best tips for reading not just faster but in a way that boosts well-being. I've been listening to audio books for over a year now, and have discovered that not only do I read twice as much, the active listening has a way of focusing my reading of print/e-books. It was nice to hear about the study showing that the benefits of listening to audio books and reading are similar.

Hey Laura, thank you so much for this lovely comment 🧡 it really made my day! And I’m so happy to hear that you liked the study about audiobooks! As someone who listens to a lot of audiobooks myself, I totally agree with you. It's such a relief to know that the benefits are similar to reading, and I've experienced that added focus when switching between audiobooks and print/e-books. So, I totally get you 😅. Your insights are fantastic, and I appreciate you sharing them. If you have any more reading tips or topics you'd like to discuss, feel free to let me know. Happy reading!🌼

@@eden_ayash I think you'll get more out of reading if you turn off any background noise.

You are totally right! that's a great tip! I can't read in a noisy environment unless it's a sort of monotone/white noise kind of noise.. If I want to read in a noisy environment - I'd put my headphones on and that helps with the noise canceling. Thanks for this comment! @@reggaefan2700

I love this! Very practical tips, and much of this can be applied to other tasks beyond reading. I always try to eliminate as much choice as I can throughout the day-I plan my meals, outfits, etc. in advance to avoid decision fatigue. Great video.

Hey Sahil! Thank you for your kind comment, and thanks for the offer! However, editing is one of my favorite aspects of the video-making process. I have a lot to learn, but I'm learning and enjoying this part as I go. I'll keep your offer in mind if I decide to make a change, and if I hear of someone who might benefit from your service, I'll gladly refer them to you. Thanks again 😊
