Great video Steve. The site plan showing the property lines is also very important to review and inquiry about with the Seller. I find some property owners are unaware of their property line locations and don't bother to find out. As a result they often end up doing work in the city boulevard outside of their property such by adding tall hedges, fence, retaining wall, etc. Then the new buyer may not be aware they are purchasing a property with an encroachment on city property that they'll have to deal with eventually as their own expense one the city has a future project. Most municipalities show at least a rough outline of the property lines on their GIS website so it's easy to do a high level check. Many who thought they had a large rectangular backyard end up realizing later on a few years later that they actually have a smaller backyard, or even a triangle shaped yard and the city is requiring they remove or relocate their fence for example out of the boulevard.

For a rental unit in a strata situation (being managed by a property management firm), is there a problem if on the title the condo owner has the same address as the condo they are renting out? Did the owner just never bother to change their address?

a right of way can only be registered in favour of a public body, like Fortis, the city, or Hydro. Easements are charges in favour of a (usually adjacent) property

My husband and I bought our home and our mortgage broker recommended "Tenants in Common," and when my husband passed away later in life, the home passed directly to me seamlessly. It wasn't Joint Tenants. So I'm a little confused, your saying we should have been joint tenants, not tenants in common? My neighbour was also tenants in common on a property with her daughter, and when her daughter passed away the home, it went directly to my neighbour.

If you are tenants in common and one owner passes, their portion must go through probate. Join tenancy do not require probate.
