recently loving these non-edited stream of consciousness yet structured videos. thank u for the advice brother. one thing so important that ties into what u're saying abt habits (and even to islam) is ritualizing everything! incorporating rituals into ur every day life, like we do with ablutions, and making space and time for those things and beautifying them and making sure u're being mindful while doing them as a sort of "paying of respect" to the main goal we want to achieve (here, prayer, or in ur video, becoming "someone who reads"). i like to designate a constant specific time everyday to read, and the rituals i add is my night skin routine, then being in wuduu, and finally cleaning my space and lighting some incense. then i start reading. ever since i started doing this with everything in my life it's so much easier to stay consistent with healthy habits because my brain associates it with a me-time, or a moment of self-enjoyment. hope that resonates
