Thank you SO much. I just got my first bottle of test strips and didn't understand the 4 squares of color and which one of them I should have been looking at, and why the bottom 2 colors almost never changed at all. The directions on the information sheet were not clear AT ALL that I should be looking at all 4 squares and comparing them. This was very helpful......I can now shut down on the extra KZbin windows I opened trying to find the answer. Mine are used for testing fermentations.

What doe all the colors on the results mean? If I am looking to get to 7.35 or 7.45, how can I get those .35 or .45 reading?

I just bought a test kit with four colours on a strip. When I tested one in my urine and placed it to the colour chart. No colours changed. I tried another strip, this time I tested it on my saliva. One of the colours changed. What was the problem then?

I tested the strips in water bought in the market supposedly with ph 10 and I got a result of 7. I tested another strip with half a glass of water and 2 TBSP of bicarbonate and I got a result of 8. Can someone from that company explain it to me?

What if the second square doesn’t match any of the 2nd row colors

Hello Bradley. You go with the color that's the closest match even if its not an exact match. You can message us a picture of your strip at info@medlabdiagnostics.org and we can help you with the results.
