Currently living in Japan as a student and teaching English part time. The idea sounded like total fun at first but realistically you're stuck in the school's hands and schedule. I wanna stay here in Japan and work a remote job. So glad I found your course

I like that you made a video showing a realistic approach to work remote and build you income. Sad the most content like this exaggerate or really try to push viewers to buy their courses.

The production quality of your vids keeps getting better. This one may be the best yet. Props to you and your editor!

This is my goal. I can appreciate your reality-based advice. Just starting your course this week. I tried teaching English abroad which was not enjoyable or flexible enough.

Yes teaching English can be quite an experience but you are locked into the school's schedule. Glad to have you in the course!

I like how this video sets some realistic expectations. Waaayyy too many videos on youtube hyping you up like "Make $1000 a day with zero experience!" and not telling you that it's a whole lot more work than they make it out to be, taking years of having at it before you even see a modicum of success, let alone their claim of $X amount they said you could make.

Hey Seth it would be cool if on your next walkthrough video you pointed out some job openings that you think would be examples of some company’s that would be cool with someone traveling/ working from another country. I make good money at my current job and would most likely be taking a big pay cut in my first Digital Marketing job. Honestly the main appeal for me wanting to get into digital marketing is the thought of being able to live in another country. I’ve noticed most of the “ remote” job postings I see still require you to be in the US. Just a suggestion. Love your videos and excited to start the course soon.
@sethjared3 ай бұрын
I think might be mixing up the requirement to be a US citizen/resident vs. actually needing to be physically located in the country. If a job is hybrid it's normal to require people to live near the office. If it's fully remote it shouldn't matter where you are located so long as you get the job done. But you do have to be a US Citizen, and postings often say that or some variatio because they get lots of applicants from overseas. Can you clarify or show an example?

How do you feel about print on demand shirts and affiliate marketing? Realistic or no? And don’t you usually need some tech experience before starting cybersecurity?
@sethjared3 ай бұрын
People are making money with both things, but it's definitely competitive. The lower the barrier for entry of an opportunity the more people are going after it. For POD and kdp type offers it's about doing the right market research. Affiliate marketing can also be good but people rarely make quick money, you need to build a trusted brand of some kind, website or youtube channel so people will actually listen to you when you refer them to other offers. So it's realistic if you give yourself a decent timeline and understand you aren't just "doing" affiliate marketing, you need to get traffic and trust so you need to build a property that gets visitors. I suggest Ali Abdaal's channel as well. He has a good KZbin course that is no BS - as he says "do you want success in 2 years? Join us!" That's realistic. Sean Dollwet is a friend of mine who teaches kdp, and he's got good videos. Josh Madakor is good for cybersecurity, his videos go into more detail about the background you need etc.
