This is really informative. I wanted to know if you could invite the registrar and celebrant to the venue and have it together?

Hi! So sorry this has taken me forever to answer - you're probably already married by now, ha! the short answer is it is absolutely possible to do so: one couple of mine last year had a breakfast legal ceremony in dressing gowns, slippers and curlers (such damn cool pix btw) and then they had their humanist wedding ceremony in the early afternoon outside in the same location. It's a real buzz to do it this way, but it can be pricier to get the registrars to come out to venues as opposed to you popping to a town hall on a wednesday morning and doing the do for fifty quid or so. As with all wedding decisions, it all depends on what is a priority to you both, and what you will get a real kick out of. You can definitely make lemonade out of the "lemon" of humanist ceremonies not being legally recognised, to be sure!
