I have a suggestion, I think you should make a video camera that records whatever you want. Make the video you record display on a screen you can decorate, so it can look like a TV or anything else with a screen. Then you can watch it. That way, PS VR would have something similar to the streamer cam at least. :)

We tried at one point but it didnt work, it looks like the PSVR locks itself down to just using PS Share and wont let games use their own camera angles on top of that :( We'll look into it again at some point since those settings will sometimes change

@anthony betancourt They are there because we launched on Steam and Oculus first and they worked on those platforms. Then we added PSVR / PS4 support and were not able to get them working. We shipped an update where they were enabled for PSVR / PS4 and it was live for a few weeks but the cameras would not function because PS Share overrides them. We've tried to find a solution to this but haven't yet. It's possible we can in the future but no promises.

This may sound like a dumb question, but I’m not a game developer so sorry if its obvious. But if the issue is that the PSVR strictly uses its own share system for recording whats on the screen, then wouldn’t the handheld stream cam work since it technically records in-game and not strictly your POV? And if saving the video is an issue, maybe making the video upload to rec.net where players can view/save it there would work. I dunno what im talking about too much though XD

The problem with that is the PSVR strictly records the person's headset pov. Not what the tv sees. Due to the way the PSVR is setup it would be almost impossible for it to work that way.

It will never be because the Oculus Quest 1 and 2 have a solo camera, the headset itself, but the pcvr version has two cameras, your headset, and your pc. If there's no pc, you can't see your recording, and you just wasted your recording.

Please implement the streaming cam to the Oculus Quest 2, it would be really helpful in making Rec Room videos. And I know you can’t really do that because it’s not connected to a computer but I have an idea for a work around. On the streamer cam there can be a record button and you know it would record ( wow ) but when you press it again it would end ( double wow ) but then it would get saved into a gallery on your watch. And if you go into your same account on a computer or phone then you can download it. That’s my idea of a work around.

*HOW TO USE ON QUEST(2)* 1. Install Sidequest and the Virtual Desktop Streamer on your PC 2. Buy Virtual Desktop from the Oculus store (19,99) 3. Attach your headset to the PC 4. Allow access to Data and debugging via the headset (not link!) 5. Search for "Virtual Desktop" on sidequest and click install. Wait till the green text saying it worked appears. You can now remove the cable. 6. Install SteamVR and RecRoom on your PC 7. Boot up Virtual Desktop on your Quest 8. Boot up the Streamer and enter your username you got previously 7. Go to games 8. Open RecRoom Finished! Now you can play RecRoom running on your PC wirelessly on your quest. Have fun! --Please like so many can see this--

Guys as a psvr player myself,I dont think it can come to psvr. Psvr records the inside of your headset so even if it did the viewers would see first person. The only way to get it to work is to buy a screen capture for your ps4 so it will record your TV. ~Jacob
