I have a question if you use riverside do you have to have a recording software like adobe premiere or anything like that
@Riversidefm2 жыл бұрын
Not unless you want to do any external editing! You can produce and edit your audio and video on the riverside platform with our editor: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYWcgn6cgKafqMk Audacity is a free program if you'd like to have the option to make more edits than what Riverside can do. What kind of podcast are you making?

My cohost and I have the same mixer and mic but no matter what we try, I can’t hear them at all. We’ve allowed mic permissions and everyone. What are we doing wrong?

Hi Bridget, are you using a teleprompter or do you memorize everything? I am just starting with the camera and I feel a bit nervous since I cant look on my cheat sheet during the video recording ;) any tips on that?

Hey Tina! Bridget here. Great question! I tried a teleprompter at the beginning, but I noticed that I had 'teleprompter eyes' and you could tell I was reading. This is definitely something that can be trained if you aren't good at memorizing. Fortunately I am able to edit the video after I record, so I cut up my script into bite sized pieces of information to make it easily memorizable (A couple sentences. Enough that I can look at it, read it in my head a few times and then look into the camera and say it). I keep doing that until i'm through the whole script and then cut out the sections in between in post production. Hope this helps! It really just takes practice. As time goes on, you'll be able to remember and relay more information to the camera in one go. It also helps if you write your own script!

@@Riversidefm Hi Bridget, thanks so much for your quick response! Well cut, I didnt even notice it at first sight :) Ok, that sounds doable with recording bit by bit, but how do you do that when you have a guest? Do you try to memorize what you are going to ask plus the intro part?

@@tinaciotola6396 Hey Tina. If it's for a podcast recording where the environment is a little more relaxed, then I suggest having a second monitor with your script so you can glance over and read from it. If this is for a talking head video then yes, memorization is best!
