This is an excellent tutorial! Many videos out there appear to illustrate how to simplistically use Davinci Resolve for audio recording and editing, but I think they're not tailored to someone who's not used the software before. Awesome tutorial! I like how you used colorful boxes to highlight what you are teaching. Makes it easier to find what you are talking about. I've been using Davinci Resolve for basic video editing but I haven't used it for audio editing. I am currently using Adobe Audition for audio editing. Do you have tutorials on how to do edit pre-recorded audio? noise reduction, shortcuts, etc?

Thank you for the video! I am wondering, are you recording in stereo? if yes, why? i have an interview partner and 2 mics and am confused. Should my Timeline be: Videochannels - 0 , Audiochannels - 2 (Mono) ? That`s what i wanted to do anyways (: Edit: Should`ve whatched til the end. We use a lot of the built-in tools on KZbin to annotate our recordings as well as Adobe After Effects.

Did you get an answer to your question? There are a few ways to do this, one way is to keyframe the audio the track that you want to mute and putting it back after the person has finished speaking. Another way would be to cut the audio with the blade tool / scissors and the missing audio won't make any noise. A third way would be to use the "automation" menu and play the audio back and physically mute and unmute tracks using a keyboard or mixer board. The way that you choose to do this will depend on what you think is the best way for you.
