How to record video in Google Slides

In this video you will learn how to record video and video feedback without ever leaving the Google Slides editor.

This works amazingly! However, the videos will not load when opened on an iPhone or iPad (not sure about android tablets/phones). Any ideas why?

Your videos are so clear! Please do a video about the equipment you use. Also, I'm sure many people would appreciate a video about cameras, microphones, etc. That would be good for recording videos for youtube.

I don’t get this. Why would I want to record a video if I cannot see the slides as I’m talking? I want to be able to move through the different presentation slides, and talk about each of the slides. I wanted my video to be a little thumbnail on the side, while most of the screen is taken up by the presentation slide. Once I go through all of the slides and finish the presentation, that’s when I want to export the video. The exported video should show both the slides and a small thumbnail of myself as I’m presenting each of the slides. Isn’t there a tool that does this? Clearly this one doesn’t seem to do it. Thank you

How does this allow you to record you presenting your presentation? Do you have to be 'turning' the slides as the video plays?

This was literally so helpful thank u, I was nervous at first bc I downloaded the record to slides while I had my google slides presentation open already and the little video camera wasn’t coming up for me to record but you just have to go back to the home page of google slides and go back into your presentation and it comes up!

Unlike a screen recorder this will record your camera. It sends that file to your drive and embeds it into slides. Screencastify works as a screen recorder and can be used on many different websites.
