Very nice use of old cards. I love the thought you put into creating them. I would like to have put a clear gem on for an eye on the deer. I was saying move the tree up before cutting buy the you added the snowflake in the open space to make a great look. Love the dimensions too. I have watched some other videos on recycling cards & they just cut the card front down & glue it to a new base. Boring but simple way to do this. I have some ephemera I have cut from cards & store them in a notebook with different size pockets on the pages. I have been overlooking sections that can be used for gift tags or to stamp sentiments on. Enjoyed your work here.

Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. I have never considered using gems to create eyes, you've certainly given me an idea there! I'm busy collecting Christmas cards from friends and family now that we are in the New Year and I have an idea for another video, so keep your eyes peeled for that one.

Loved your video. You make cards somewhat like I do but I don't have one of those neat machines that cut shapes out. I really like that. I love your composition also. I like to make my cards in the heat of the summer (makes me feel cooler seeing the snow) and then in October or November I address them all and they are ready to go in December. My friends save their greeting cards for me because I make all occasion cards during the rest of the year. I hope your friends save their cards for you as well. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and have a Blessed day. PS...I also subscribed to your channel and clicked on the bell.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. I'm still collecting cards from friends and family so there will be no shortage of supplies! I have some more videos like this coming soon, so hopefully the bell will let you know when they go live!

Very nice to use the die’s to cut out all the pieces first. I saw of glimpse of how you have your thin dies in zipper bags? Could you show us how you organize them?
@cannycrafter14053 жыл бұрын
I can show you my storage, but I'm not sure if it's something that will still be available for, I'll have a google and see. It was bought for photo storage but it was never used, so I repurposed it for my dies.

That would be great. Maybe you can find something similar to point me to.

Hi and thank you! I use a sizzix big shot, it's ab electric die cutting machine but I don't think they make them any more. I use a variety of dies, mostly non brands from ali express or whatever I can get cheap from The Works, The Range and Hobbycraft.

What is the machine you're using? Please send a link, and a link to purchase the dies....Thanks!
@cannycrafter1405 Жыл бұрын
Hi, the machine I use is a Sizzix Big Shot (electric) but unfortunately it is no longer available to buy. The dies I use are mainly from aliexpress.com (temu also do affordable dies) but I can no longer provide links for them as I've had them that long. Check out your craft stores, facebook marketplace, amazon, ebay etc and you should be able to find similar dies. Sorry I can't be of more help
