Very interesting thanks for making this video. I have one of these printers which we rely on for label printing for our business and although the inks are not terribly expensive (we pay £4.50 a cartridge each in a set of 4 originals) it seems a shame to throw the cartridges away and keep buying new ones if you can refill like this...I'm also concerned that the Ricoh cartridges may not be available indefinitely as Ricoh has discontinued this Geljet series of printers they told me. Oddly compatible GC41 ink cartridges are a lot more expensive (unless you buy from China) than the original Ricoh ones! I have a quick question... Most of these refillable cartridges come up against the chip-resetting issue (the printer knows if a cartridge is empty by recording data on the chip and won't allow that cartridge to be used again)... I assume the Ricoh GC41 cartridges don't have this resetting problem? Why do they have chips on them, is that just to identity to the printer which colour is which? We have many many of the old cartridges (never bothered to throw away) could these be used as refillable cartridges?
