@lik at waaaaaaaa I remember this printer type has memory for ... 28? chip numbers. That means, you have to place 28 chips inside one after another and the next one will be detected as new.

The chip must not be optional. I filled my cartridge, but I'm still getting the empty tank message on the printer. These ain't the good ol days when you could just pump tank full and rock and roll. Does anyone know where you get chips? I ordered new ink tanks, but they won't be here for a couple weeks. Thanks

If you order from Nanodigitalink make sure to buy the one that shows ( + Chip) in the description.. You can purchase kit with or without chip. Nanodigital sells the chip too... They are AssUmi.ng you KNOW you need a new chip. I would like the video to include how to replace the chip correctly.

I replace my ink every two month or so, found the refills on Inkjet for $7(black) and 9 (for color). They only last about five to six weeks but I am still saving about 40-50% I don't have the time or desire to refill these myself. Please note these are not Kodac, they are aftermarket but that's exactly the same as the ink you recive to do the refills yourself. No chip replcement!... just saying.

Kodak is Pigment, and you fill it with Dye on 2:20...

Yes, it's real, I do this for a living (Though I have no association with this channel), you can (with the right materials) refill your own ink (and toner) cartridges

Some chips are designed so that when the ink is low, it'll mark low, but after refilling, it'll still mark low, that why in some cases the chip needs to be replaced with a new one

Kodak ink is pigment based and you are using dye based ink...Kodak printers/printheads are not designed for dye based inks and that dye WILL screw up the printhead and give substandard, incomplete prints...I know this from experience.

Is this real, like what the other viewers are commenting. My empty cartridges were taken from me by Staples and was told I will given credit for each one, I had 3, but the credit will only be given to me every 3 months via a check. 'wonder if this is true, I have yet to go to their website.
