Those 3 pieces connect and the one side is how you lower the tire.

On the end of the rod (the bit) that you're using to drop the spare tire. Where did you get that. I went to the Dodge dealership and they have no idea what that is. So I need to know where I can get one so I can drop my spare tire to.

The kit is under the passenger seat next to the factory jack. Mine was wrapped in a black case.

Those things that mean nothing are exactly what you need to raise and lower a normal stock spare tire, though you really nee a flashlight and look from underneath to make sure you connect to the tightening/loosening rod behind the bumper. Someone mentioned below that you have an aftermarket anti-theft device on your spare tire, which makes your special tool necessary.

Got'er done! Thanks! Her wrench was broken in half so was more like and open ended wrench and then I broke the side out and had to use a big crescent wrench to finish jacking it up. Paid me $100 and I learned a long time ago that no you're my sister won't cut it so you just fed my 26 goats for 2wks! Again, thanks!

Well, I love that I found this video to explain what I was doing wrong, banging around underneath trying to get it to drop. Also shows me how my old used truck I bought off a guy didnt have this tool I never heard of inside it. Its a 2000 Ram 1500 but still has this reach thru access point in the rear. Awesome. Guess Ill have to come up with a plan B. Why cant they just bolt the spare inside the bed like a normal, decent, functional human would?

I'm embarrassed for you sir. Using the lug lock key? You're supposed to use the flared box end from the 3 rods. It fits, trust me. Don't fuck around like this guy.
