How to Release Hydraulic Pressure on your Skid Equipment

In this video, we show you (the viewer) how to release the hydraulic pressure on your skid. This is an informational video and has detailed descriptions of how to do it. He shows you exactly how to do it. This can be used for most skids that use hydraulics. This includes basically every Kubota with hydraulics. Awesome video I’ve had so much trouble connecting hoses on my old bobcat. I switched it over to the flat tappet hydraulic connectors to fit must of the attachments out there. So I learned to shut off the machine and depress all the hydraulic controls several times to release the pressure. ALSO THIS IS IMPORTANT connect the two lines on your attachment together as soon as you unhook them. For one thing it protects them from damage and dirt. Two it equalizes the pressures on both sides of the cylinders. And I still push my guts out. Some aftermarket connectors do not hold tolerances and are just too tight!! Thank you, Andy

I'm a huge fan man I watch alot of your videos they're very helpful. I am having a hydraulic issues. Now I have a topcat cutter on my svl75-2. Eberytime I turn my hydraulic on it won't spin as fast or not spin for the most part. Now I don't know If it's my machine or the cutter. But I can move and so some stuff I am having issues with tilting up like a bucket etc and the the cutter I gotta go into high rpms just to get it up. Do you have any suggestions

Seems like you have a hydraulic issue on the machine bit above my level of knowledge at this point as I haven’t had that issue ( and hope never to ) but I would suggest trying to change your filters and look at the screen that’s in the bottom of the hydraulic tank and make sure there’s no restriction before you look at the way more expensive hydraulic pump

So do you shut the aux switch off in the machine before unhooking?

Yes I do but when you lift the arm bars it automatically sets the parking break and locks out the hydraulics
