If you have omnisphere the exact patch he used for that distorted bass is in there! Tbh some saturation and compression and it sounds just like the track

this is crazy bro. one question i have is, you boosted frequencies a lot and added a lot of saturation. did this not cause clipping? if so, how did you avoid it?
@DeafLynch Жыл бұрын
Thanks! No, the mix does not clipping, because the volume of the channels does not exceed the norm. This is approximately -12db
@doctorxcrazy Жыл бұрын
@@DeafLynch how did you ensure it does not exceed 12 db? Limiter or compressor? Did you gain stage before hand? Sorry for all the questions, really appreciate your help 🙏
@DeafLynch Жыл бұрын
@@doctorxcrazy I mean every channel. For example guitars, kick, bass and so on. They should not exceed -12 db, since the entire volume is summed up on a master channel, and if you have -0 db everywhere, then the master will clipping. I just set the volume on the analyzer in the default Ableton mixer. And then on the master channel I compensated the volume with a limiter L2
@doctorxcrazy Жыл бұрын
@@DeafLynch Ah I see, so after adding the effects, you just reduced the fader on each channel so that it did not exceed -12 db?
@DeafLynch Жыл бұрын
@@doctorxcrazy exactly! it is best to always stick to these values, in any mix)
