For those commenting that the procedure in the video above isn't removing the line item, simply remove the specific key found under \HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\. Ensure that you only remove the key related to the unwanted item, do not remove anything else under \NameSpace. I actually did this instead of Changing the DWORD value of the System.IsPinned key, and the listing in File Explorer was gone instantly.

@@pawelwityk1963 1. Press the Window key once (between ctrl and alt on the left of your keyboard). 2. Type regedit then select "registry editor" at the top of the search results. 3. In the registry editor, find and expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER (abbreviated as "HKCU" in my original post) in the left portion of the window. 4. Using the path I cited above, continue to expand keys until you see the contents of the NameSpace key in the right side of the window. 5. From there, you'll have to identify which elements to remove, which can be done by selecting the element, pressing the delete key, then selecting "yes" in the confirmation dialogue box that appears. 6. Afterward, close the registry editor and you're done.

A lovely clear instructions at a perfect speed, but in CLSID I don't get the option to paste, instead is says New> and then the choice between string value, binary value, DWORD (32-bit) value, QWORD (64-bit) value, multi-string value, expandable String Value. Which is it that I would be pasting?

This didn't work for me. I previously uninstalled OneDrive and installed it on my D Drive, but the Desktop in the old C drive is still hanging around. leading to confusion about the location of files. I lost all my desktop files at some stage and am worried I could lose all my OneDrive files if I uninstall it again.

Found the solution, the folder name is {A52BBA46-E9E1-435f-B3D9-28DAA648C0F6} Copy and paste if after right clicking on the folder and pasting this name. Follow the remaining steps and you'll be good normally. @@JonMcClainMusic
