It works! I accidentally got a huge white paint stain on my favorite black hoodie but with the help of rubbing alcohol, paper towel and a toothbrush I was able to completely get the stain out in a matter of seconds!

Hand sanitizer is about 65% alcohol, doesn’t evaporate as quickly as liquid alcohol, and works for paint removal much more quickly.

I was amazed as many of the comments left here, my input is to rub with a cotton ball not a brush so that the alcohol doesn't evaporate from the garment and it was much quicker for the paint to rub off. I think it left a little faded spot but I plan to re-color soon.

This worked, it got the dried white line of paint off my jacket. Just make sure you test a spot on the garment because now where the paint was, there’s a small discolored line because it took some of the color off the jacket with the paint. Great video

This really works, yesterday my coat got painted in the subway, so i looked it up to find what to do, & yes It took me about two hours to remove paint off my outer sleeve I used a green scrub sponge with rubbing alcohol in circular & then straight motion it all came out completely.

Just tried this method on my BAPE shirt. I got primer on it about a year ago, and I got a good amount of it off using this method. Going to keep doing it for the next two days to get it all out, I want to do it in segments as not to harm the fabric too much, and there’s some in the A so I’m trying to be careful with that as well. Thanks goodness, I remember how to search "how to get rid of the paint"? This thing works on my fave winter coat, thanks a lot coz I don't have plan of parting my fave winter coat. Problem solved, it's a lot of work though, scrubbing it off using the isopropyl alcohol! This hacks is genius 👏 🙌

Put the alcohol in a small dish the size of the stain, then immerse the affected area completely in alcohol, let sit for about ten minutes, then start the removal process. Follow up by a wash cycle with fabric softener only, then use a pill remover. Done.

I used 91% rubbing alcohol and let it sit on the paint spot on my jeans for about 5 minutes then used a green scrub pad that you use got scrubbing dishes and the paint came off in about 5 minutes. Had to keep putting alcohol on the spot as I scrubbed it bit it worked really good

took about 2 hours and I did not remove it completely I used 5 different things including rubbing alcohol ... I believe it because I did not clean it right away and instead ignored it for like 2 weeks ... was black paint on a beige denim jacket, YOU MUST REMOVE THE PAINT ASAP AND DONT WAIT.

If you brush the alcohol in immediately and then add a bit more, you may have better results. I also let mine sit for 15 before scrubbing. The more alcohol you use the better your results. This method worked well for me: Apply alcohol scrub apply a bit more let stand 15 minutes scrub. Repeat. Launder.

Use a butter knife or the dull knife in the middle of a pair of fingernail clippers. Let the alcohol soak in a bit and then work on softening up the paint by 'stirring' the alcohol into the paint with the point of the fingernail clipper knife. (obviously poke the paint, not the fabric. )

What u also can do is if the paint is hard scrub it with a tooth brush and if it leaves a lil stain try soapy water scrubbing a lot until it comes out

the tooth brush isn't strong enough. Use a butter knife (gently) or, the dull knife in a pair of fingernail clippers. (the point can come in handy) For the sponge, use one with the scrubber on one side for a little more abrasion.

The instructions said to wet the paint with alcohol , then let it sit for 5 minutes. Now, 10 year old paint is not the usual, but it is possible, it just takes more soaking time, and a bit more elbow grease.

Alcohol only softens water based paints. It takes about 2 hours for the paint to chemically convert, so within that time, a hot wash will normally remove it, even if it looks dry. If that fails, or the paint splash is older, simply put the alcohol in a jam-jar, use a spoon handle to push the affected area into the spirit and leave it for a couple of hours. Then first try a hot wash, rather than scrubbing and damaging the surface of the fabric. The process can be repeated, leaving the item to soak overnight and the toothbrush used if your first attempts do not fully work. WARNING. fabric soaked in alcohol is highly flammable and also generates flammable vapor, so never do it in an area such as the kitchen. It is preferable to do the soaking outside the house.
