While the lines are good, I was always told to take the biggest drill bit you have on hand (paddle bits are great for this) and drill a good handful of holes as deep into the stump as you can and fill them with kindling or other fire fodder. The extra depth helps burn the stump even lower, and if you're lucky, will get the roots to smolder too - preventing depressions/holes forming in that spot of your yard later down the line as the remainder of it rots away.

That is a good idea also, I just tried to keep the equipment down to the chainsaw. It was already there when we cut the tree down. Thanks
