How to remove a water cooled alternator on a Bmw (E65/E66) V8

A total pain in the ass especially on a 760LI V12. But without proper charging, everything on an E65/E66 starts to complain.

Did you have to remove those back bolts? In another video they just removed the front 10mm and pulled it out. Is the back bolts for the outer housing?

You have to remove those bolts because are holding a pulley bracket exactly in front of the alternator and under the bracket is another 10mm bolt.

Feel sorry for mechanic and owner of such a shit. What a screwy design. Only BMW can come out with something like that.
